CCC C.A.R.E.S was created to aid students facing hardships unavoidable crises as they pursue their education and enter the workforce such as unexpected emergencies, food shortages, reduced work hours or unanticipated expenses. CCC C.A.R.E.S. aims not to fully remedy a student's situation but rather to assist them in managing and recovering from unexpected circumstances, in hopes of helping students get back on their feet. 


Services:

 

      1. Food Access
        The Campus Cabinet aims to address food insecurity experienced by current CCC students, staff, and faculty members. We supply pantry staples like dry goods, canned goods, and perishable essentials. We also offer SNAP application assistance, personal hygiene items, and occasional nutrition and budgeting workshops. If you need support in this area, please schedule an appointment with a staff member below. 


      2. Transportation Assistance
        Transportation assistance for students is especially crucial to their success when living in rural communities and traveling to school. CCC has partnered up with CATS (Clovis Area Transit System to offer bus passes to all students taking classes at CCC. Book an appointment to receive your bus passes.

      3. Accessibility Resources (OARS)
        The Office of Accessibility & Resources provides support to students with disabilities (learning, physical, psychological, etc.), primarily through accommodations and adaptive technology that allow students an equal opportunity to pursue their educational goals. Each individual is unique; accommodations are based on documentation and are designed to meet individual needs.

      4. Financial Aid
        Additional financial aid may be available for students suffering from major extenuating circumstances like the following: loss of a home, loss of a spouse or parent, loss of employment, out of pocket medical expenses for an accident or sudden illness, and increase is household size within the last 2 years. Other extenuating circumstances may apply. Students must first provide paperwork/ evidence of the extenuating circumstances and our financial aid team will expedite their application process if eligible.

      5. Academic Support
        Transition into college classes as a first-generation college student or a returning student can be quite a daunting task,but you are not expected to do this alone. CCC provides an array of academic support and resources to help you thrive. Talk with one of our Academic Support team members to talk about resources and services available to support you through your transition into college

      6. Career Resources
        CCC provides career counseling, advising, resume and employment coaching, and a range of other services to both current students and alumni, supporting successful transitions from college to a professional career.

      7. Tutoring
        The Tutoring Center at Clovis Community College is staffed by trained tutors who will assist you in many subject areas such as: Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Physics, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Computer Information Systems, and much more. 

      8. Help Desk
        The Help Desk will assist students over the phone or in person with any online issue you may encounter while registering, adding/dropping classes, resetting passwords, uploading files, determining your user name, etc.
