The Clovis Police Department provides security and law enforcement for the College. Twenty-four hour patrol and dispatch services are provided with access through the emergency telephone number "911." CCC employs Campus Security Officers who may be reached by contacting the Information Desk at 575.769.2811, or the Security Office at 575.769.4144 and 575.769.4149. Students and visitors witnessing any crime, suspicious activity, or emergency on campus are asked to report the information at the Information Desk. A copy of the Campus Security Policy is on file in the library along with the annual report of crime on campus.

Alcoholic Beverages

Possession, use, or sale of alcoholic beverages on campus is prohibited and violators will be dealt with according to the laws of the State of New Mexico.

Illegal Drugs

Possession, use, or sale of illegal drugs on campus is prohibited and violators will be dealt with according to Federal and State drug laws.

Sex Offenses

If a sex offense occurs, you are requested to notify the Clovis Police Department immediately by calling 911. It is important to preserve all evidence. The campus security department will assist you in reporting the offense to the Police Department, if you request help.

Title IX

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX) prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. Title IX states “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance[.]” All federal agencies that provide grants of financial assistance are required to enforce Title IX’s nondiscrimination mandate. The U.S. Department of Education (Department) gives grants of financial assistance to schools and colleges and to certain other entities, including vocational rehabilitation programs and libraries.
