Proctoring Services

Effective Fall 2024 semester, Clovis Community College is switching our proctoring services from Respondus, to ProctorU Meazure Learning.  We are adapting to an ever-changing student and instruction structure by offering this new service. 

 

ProctorU is a service that monitors you while you're taking your exams. Using this service allows the convenience of testing from home, or a quiet space, all while using your own devce.

Required ProctorU Software :

  • Download Guardian Browser: (Only Windows/Apple Machines)

  • Windows 10 or later
  • Mac OS 11.0 or later
  • All recent compatible versions of ChromeOS (Extension only)

Alternate options for students that don’t have a compatible device:

  • Check out a Windows 10 laptop from the Helpdesk (limited supply) 
  • Make an appointment at an approved testing center (speak with your instructor for further details)
  • Review+: The live option is selected by the instructor when they are using a 3rd party system for a midterm or final. In a live session, a live proctor will join in on your computer with access to your camera, screen, and audio. The live proctoru will ensure you get connected to your exam, go through the prechecks with you, and verify that you are following all exam expectations.
    • Warning! When scheduling Live+ exams, at 72 hours before the exam, students pay an $8 fee; at 24 hours or less, it is a $12 fee. Scheduling early will mean you don’t have to pay fees for Live+/Review+ exams. Record+ exams do not incur fees, as they are guided and proctored by A.I., and they do not require a human proctor
  • Record+: The Record+ option is an AI recorded session that will monitor your screen, camera and audio during your midterm or final. This session will also go through prechecks, but will be self-paced. Once the exam is complete, the recorded session will be availabe to your instructor to review.

Note: You can ask your instructor what kind of delivery mode the ProctorU session will be
