A New Student Information System (SIS) is Coming! 

To improve the overall student experience and better support student success, Clovis Community College is transitioning to a new Student Information System (SIS). The new system will provide a more integrated and streamlined way to manage student information and academic processes across the College.

The SIS will support key areas of the student experience, including admissions and applications, registration and records, curriculum and academic structure, and student financial processes. This transition represents an important step toward creating more connected, efficient, and user-friendly processes for our students, faculty, and staff.

What does this mean for faculty and staff?

Spring 2027 or Summer 2027

Business as Usual. Other than for the Admissions Team and HelpDesk as it relates to an Admissions Application, there will be no functional changes. 

Fall 2027

All student functions will shift to Workday. Additional information about the transition and what you need to do will be provided as we get closer to implementation.

October 1, 2026 — Fall 2027 Applications Open
The Fall 2027 application will be available in Workday Student for new students planning to attend CCC in Fall 2027.

Students planning to attend Spring 2027 or Summer 2027 will continue to apply through the Legacy system (Banner).

November 16–20, 2026 — Mock Semester
Faculty and Staff will be invited to participate in a Mock Semester, an opportunity to test the new student system in a simulated semester environment. Participation and feedback will help CCC identify issues, improve processes, and ensure the system is ready to support students.

May 3, 2027 — Student Transition to Workday
Everyone begins using Workday Student for student information and academic processes. Additional information and guidance will be provided to help faculty and staff prepare for the transition.

Today marks a major milestone in our Student Information System (SIS) implementation project. The Student Application in Workday officially went live today, marking our Move to Production 1 (MTP1) milestone!
 
This first phase impacts only students who plan to attend Clovis Community College beginning in Fall 2027. We will begin accepting applications for those students on October 1. As we continue through the implementation, additional Workday Student functionality will be introduced in phases. For timelines, updates, and additional information, please visit our All Things Workday webpage.
 
In light of this major milestone, I want to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all of you who helped make this happen. First and foremost, our SIS implementation team . . . I cannot adequately express how much effort, dedication, frustration, tears, joys, and celebrations have gone into getting us to this point. This group has poured countless hours into this project, worked through challenges that sometimes seemed impossible, and continued to show up, problem-solve, and move forward. I am incredibly grateful for each of you and all that you have given to this project.

But I also want to recognize every person across our campus, because you have all played a part in this—even if your contribution was indirect.  You showed patience with our implementation team. You took on a meeting when we couldn't attend. You set up computers and workspaces for planning events and on-site sessions. You reconfigured spaces to make it more conducive for our work.  You provided encouragement and morale support—or sometimes just that much-needed laughter when things got tough. You stepped in, adjusted, supported one another, and helped us keep moving.
 
It truly takes a full family to accomplish something this big, and I want you all to know how much I appreciate each and every one of you.
 
While MTP1 is a major milestone, we still have a lot of work ahead of us. Move to Production for the remaining student processes will begin next semester, and the work will be significant for our SIS Implementation Team moving forward. This is where we all need to dig in, rally around one another, and continue to give each other the patience, grace, and support that have gotten us this far.  The good news is that the end is in sight.
 
So today, let's take a moment to celebrate what we have accomplished. Thank you for your hard work, your flexibility, your patience, your humor, and your commitment to Clovis Community College and our students.
