The Accuplacer assessment is offered at no cost to all CCC students to ensure proper placement in math, reading, and/or English courses.

Do I Need to Take the Accuplacer?

All students enrolling for the first time in courses with a math and writing component, or courses that require extensive reading are required to take the Accuplacer or other appropriate placement tests before registering. With this resource, students and their Advisors can make informed decisions about their academic endeavors and achieve their goals with confidence.

How Can I Prepare for Accuplacer?

Students can access sample Accuplacer Practice Tests to prepare for the assessment. Although these practice tests are not official ACCUPLACER tests, they provide a similar test-taking experience.

To take the practice test, click the link above, create an account with a strong password, select the application, and choose Next-Generation Practice Tests. We offer the Next-Generation Accuplacer.

What Happens Next?

We provide instant Accuplacer results and personalized help from our CCC Academic Advisors to place you in the right course(s). You can retake the test once per semester, waiting 24 hours between attempts.
